It
has been reported that Ghaly's transfer to Derby might
not go through due to work permit problems. The Egyptian
needs to renew his conditional work permit and but falls
short of the number of caps needed.
Ghaly's loan deal from Tottenham to Derby
County will now have to be approved by the government
authorities as it appears that the Egyptian didn't play
the required percentage of games for the Egyptian national
team in order to be granted extention for his work permit.
However, these kind of issues and formalities
are not expected to make the deal fall through and hopefully,
the Egyptian will complete his move before the closure
of the transfer window by the endof Juary.
It should also be noted that Ghaly will
participate with Egypt in the ACN in Ghana 2008 and
this should be enough for him to extend his work permit.
It is also worth noting that both clubs (Spurs and Rams) agreed
to transfer Ghaly on loan till the end of season and only
the work permit formalities are delaying the move.
