Spurs midfielder Hossam Ghaly is close to
sign a loan deal with bottom side Derby County till
the end of this season. Ghaly was frozen by Spurs board
and spent the entire half of season training with his
former club Al-Ahly. The Egyptian is currently in talks
with Derby and could complete his loan move in the next
few days.
Derby boss Paul Jewell is keen on signing
Ghaly on loan till the end of the current season in
order to help the bottom side in the Premiership table
avoid relegation.
Ghaly's situation didn't change since
he threw Spurs shirt following replacing him after coming
on as sub in the pen ultimate match day last season.
A number of bottom clubs already showed
interest in Ghaly, Sunderland and Derby are the most
intersted clubs. However, it seems that Derby are more
determined to land the troubled Egyptian.
Ghaly will have the advantage of returning
back to Tottenham or moving to another club at end of
season in case of Derby's expected relegation as he
will only join the side on loan basis till summer.
However, Ghaly's participation with Egypt in the ACN may be
a stumbling block to the move as the Egptian will be out for
about a month on international duty.
The story should unfold in the next few days
and EP will keep you updated...
