Hossam Ghaly has not played for Tottenham
in the six months and hsa even been training at former
club Al-Ahly.
The Egyptian is about to play for Egypt in the Arab
Games. He will hope to impress because if he doesn't,
there is a massive chance he will miss out on the African
Cup of Nations for a shock second time running.
There was speculation that Ramos' arrival as Spurs
manager may bring Ghaly back to the Lane, but he has
in no way been lured.
"The arrival of Ramos won't change the situation,"
Ghaly is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
Strangely enough, Ghaly added the problems "wasn't
only Jol", perhaps assuring that Jol was the main
problem. This is a surprise, judging that Jol brought
into the club and had faith in him at times when fans
and critics did not.
EgyptianPlayers.com had also learnt through an inside source
that Jol was not the one who drove Ghaly out, but rather the
board did, in order to appease the angry fans.
Ghaly is quoted as continuing: "It wasn't only Jol,
I also had a lot of troubles with the board and the fans."
He concluded by adding his concentration on the Arab Games,
which many don't realise is extremely important in his career.
"All I am focused on is getting prepared to play with
Egypt in the Arab Games," said the midfielder.
