Birmingham official website announced
the signing of Hossam Ghaly for the Blues a few hours
ago. The Egyptian put pen on paper this morning in a
3 year deal which will keep him at Birmingham till 2010.
The 25 year old Egyptian midfielder should
not have a problem obtaning a conditional work permit
and so, the transfer is not completed.
Following the signature of Ghaly, Blues
coach Steve Bruce expressed his delight with the transfer
saying that the Egyptian will fill the gap that was
left by the depaarture of Stephen Clemence.
"The signing of Hossam is an excellent
acquisition," said Bruce.
"With the loss of Stephen Clemence, he will play
a vital role in the middle of the park for us this season.
he added
Bruce continued to praise the Egyptian by saying: "I
was always very impressed with him whenever I watched
him play for Spurs last season.
"He has all the credentials that we are looking for in
a player, he is only 25, a very talented international who
still has the hunger to succeed in the Premiership.
"As well as being technically gifted, Hossam can also
stand up to the physical side of the game so he will give
us that extra edge in midfield.
"We are delighted to have him on board."
EP congratulate Ghaly for completing his switch
to Birmingham City and wish him a great season with his new
team..
