Birmingham boss Steve Bruce
revealed that he is a keen admirer of the Egyptian midfielder
Hossam Ghaly. He also declared that the club made an
inquiry about the Egyptian.
It seems that both Egyptians at Spurs
will leave the Lane and could possibily end together
in the new Premiership side Birmingham City.
Birmingham showed interest in Mido and
now they seem to be interested in Ghaly as well.
Birmingham's coach Steve Bruce was quoted
on the the Birmingham Mail saying:
"Ghaly is one we have enquired about,"
"He came to my attention a year ago when we had
Tottenham in a pre-season friendly in the rain at St
Andrews.
"It was that game when Berbatov played and scored
a stunning goal.
"But my eye was caught by Ghaly and we've had
him monitored since. He added
"As I said, we've made an enquiry, but it hasn't gone
further - yet." The Birmingham coach concluded.
It should be noted that Ghaly wasn't included in any of Spurs
friendlies so far and it seems that Spurs are ready to offload
him to appease the angry fans.
The future of the Egyptian should be decided in the coming
days and EP will keep you updated...
