It is rumoured that Martin
Jol has not picked Ghaly in his pre-season squad going
on tour to South Africa. Birmingham City feel that this
will enhance their chances of signing the Egyptian.
Spurs had already said that they are
willing to listen to offers for Ghaly, and this has
been backed up by Jol's decision to leave him out.
There are some unconfirmed news that Ghaly has not
been picked in the squad to travel to South Africa,
nor is he expected to feature in any other Spurs friendlies.
Meanwhile, Stephen Clemence has left Birmingham to
Leicester City for £750,000, and Ghaly is now
the number one target as replacement.
