A English broadsheet newspaper named the
Egyptian as one of four midfield players on their way
out of the club.
Spurs are in the process of renewing their side for
the new season, and as they attempt to cover the £17
million needed to snap up Charlton Athletic striker
Darren Bent they are ready to sell.
As well as side-back Lee Young-Pyo, Spurs are prepared
to sell four midfielders. Wayne Routledge has expressed
a desire to stay away from the Lane, and may sign permanently
at Fulham.
Teemu Tainio is another man, as well as the two January
2006 signings Danny Murphy and Hossam Ghaly.
Spurs, who finished 5th two seasons running, are open to offers
for all of these players. Ghaly had said, in the past, that
there is a club in England willing to offer for him. His infamous
incident with Martin Jol on the penultimate day of the season
may have also triggered Spurs' will to let
him leave.
