Spurs failed to sign Luis Figo but they still searching
for a midfielder to fill the left position. Their new
target is the young international Dutch star, Sneijder.
Tottenham are still keen on signing a
left winger for the new season. Luis Figo revealed that
he is not willing to move to England a few days ago
but Spurs are still keen on signing a player to fill
this position.
The new target for Hossam Ghaly and Mido's
Spurs in Ajax central/left midfielder Sneijder. The
player can play in the centre of midfield and as left
winger in the same time and was a former teammate for
Mido in Ajax.
Sneijder started his career in Ajax youth
academy and shone with Ajax in the past few years which
made him a member of the Dutch national team as well.
Spurs always lacked a good left winger
and Ghaly couldn't play this role so he was used mainly
as right midfielder and rarely, as a central midfielder
while the left winger position was taken by Malbranque
or Aaron Lennon.
The signing of Sneijder could decrease Ghaly's chances of
first team football as the Dutch man will either play as left
winger or in the heart of midfied and Ghaly's only option
to play will be as right midfielder and this position is mainly
reserved for Aaron Lennon.
