It was rumored that Mido and Ghaly's Spurs are leading
the race to sign the Poertuguese international Luis
Figo. However, the player announced that he has no intentions
to play in England. On the other hand, England U21 midfielder
Wayne Routledge will leave Spurs which means that Ghaly
will still have a fair chance to start next season.
It seems that Ghaly still have a place
in Spurs midfield next season despite the incident between
him and his coach in the penultimate match last season.
So far, the club didn't agree terms with
any new midfielder and Wayne Routledge who plays in
Ghaly's same posiition and spent last season on loan
outside the club, is leaving White heart lane permanently.
Reports suggest that the 22 year old is
not happy to play on a week-in/week-out basis and so,
he wants to leave the club to seek more first team football.
In addition to this, Luis Figo denied the rumoours that linked
him with a move to Spurs. He confirmed that moving to England
is not in his mind and denied any talks between him and Spurs.
This will leave the current structure of Spurs
midfield the same as last season unless something new happens
in the coming weeks.
