Hossam Ghaly made a phone interview with Dream TV
channel in which he admitted that his reaction was wrong
but he stressed that frustration was the main reason
behind his act.
Ghaly was criticized on Egyptian TV channel
"Dream" for his latest incident where he left
the pitch in anger after throwing his team short onto
the ground.
The Egyptian had some comments on the
situation. Ghaly said: "What I did waswrong and
I have to admit that but I am a human being and felt
very frustrated when I got replaced after 30 minutes
of coming on".
"There are things that accumulated
and resulted in me acting in this way. I am not playing
regularly and when I play, I don't play in my normal
position" The Egyptian added.
"In many times, I play well or score
a goal to find myself totally out of team selection
or on bench in the other match for no particular reason.
This is very frustrating for me".
When asked about his future at Tottenham,
the Egyptian replied:
"I am not sure about my future yet. There is a decision
that I won't play the last match versus Manchester City but
so far, I know nothing".
"I went to training normally but had a
muscle strain so I couldn't train. I didn't speak with the
coach yet but he did speak well about me to the media and
said that my reaction was out of character and I appreciated
that".
"I can reveal that I asked to leave a few
weeks ago so I can play more and in my regular position but
my request was declined. My agent will repeat my request again
and I don't know if my request will be accepted this time
or not".
When asked about Mido's future at the lane
and whether Ghaly have offers from other clubs or not, Hossam
concluded:
"Mido wants to leave but I don't know his
destination yet. As for me, I don't have offers at the moment
but my agent is working on that".
