Fans had chanted "You're not fit
to wear the shirt" to Ghaly, trigerring his annoyed
reaction. Martin Jol says the club will deal with this
reaction - which was out of character - within the club.
Most shocking is Jol's assessment that "the fans
are entitled to do that."
Speaking to BBC Radio, the Tottenham manager said:
"We've got a lot of character in the team, although
with Hossam Ghaly, you could say it was a bit out of
character.
"He didn't throw it (the shirt) at me. He threw
it on the floor.
"But that's probably worse because you can't do
that with a Spurs shirt. Everybody knows that in England."
Jol feels he made the right choice by taking Ghaly
off. "I can understand that somebody is frustrated,
but for me I don't think about that sort of thing. I
want to make good decisions and in hindsight you can
say that it was the right decision to take him off."
When asked whether he will talk with Ghaly in the morning,
Jol responded: "What do you think?" And when asked
whether the Egyptian will play again for the club, the Dutchman
said: "All the playes will do something which is out
of character. Of course things will happen but we will deal
with it internally."
