However, a stoppage time strike from Jenas ended the game in a 2-2 draw. Both Egyptians Mido and Ghaly weren't selected for the match squad.

  • Spurs faced an onform Arsenal side on Saturday noon. The North London derby clash ended in a lucky draw for Tottenham who almost lost at their home turf but a last gasp strike from Jenas ended the game in a 2-2 draw.

Spurs pressurized their opponents in the opening minutes of the game and managed to score their first goal in the 30th minute through Robbie Keane who deflected the ball home with his head after a header from Dawson.

Spurs were solid in the first half and managed to end it in a 1-0 lead. However, the 2nd half was a different story as Arsenal outplayed Tottenham and totally dominated in midfield. This allowed the guests to create many chances and score two goals.

The first goal came in the 64th minute through Toure who sent the ball home after a cross from the left wing. On the other side, the 2nd goal came through Adebayor who headed the ball home after a cross from the right wing. The same player hit the bar a few minutes before his goal and managed to score from his 2nd header on target.

After taking the lead by two goals, it was obvious that Spurs were of no match to the quality of Arsenal. The whole midfield of Tottenham was eclipsed by the Gunners midfield and all Tottenham attacks were random passes from defense to attack.

Martin Jol made some substitutions to help his side get back into the game. The changes didn't do much as the introduced players couldn't offer much. The Dutch coach introduced Malbranque instead of Lennon, Huddlestone in place of Tainio and Defoe for Zokora.

Arsenal deserved to win because of their superb 2nd half performance. However, Jenas managed to pull level in the 4th minute of stoppage time from a low strike from outside the box, Jenas shot beat Lehmann and went in to make the score 2-2 and to rescue a point for Spurs.

Both Egyptians Mido and Ghaly missed the game for undisclosed reasons. Mido most likely missed the match because of his injury as he just recovered from illness and wasn't fully fit to play. On the other side, Ghaly's absence maybe due to the plethora of fit midfielders at the moment as Lennon, Jenas, Tainio and Zokora are ready to play while Malbranque and Huddlestone were on bench.

Aside from Spurs news, Ahmed Fathy didn;t see action either in Sheffield United's away match versus Charlton which ended in a 1-1 draw. The Egyptian will unlikely see action this season but his manager Warnock says he is a player for the future.

The draw in Charlton kept Sheffield 17th with two points ahead of Charton but Fathy's side still insecure and need a few more points to avoid relegation safely.
