Spurs achieved a 3-1 home victory over Brugge in UEFA cup. In the 14th minute, Salou gave the guests the lead but a fine volley from Berbatov made the score 1-1. In the 2nd half, Keane scored after a one two with Berbatov while the Bulgarian added his 2nd goal from a well placed header after a clever cross from Ghaly. Egyptian striker Mido started on bench and came on to replace Berbatov with only 10 minutes left.

Spurs achieved a sweet victory over the Belgian side Club Brugge in the UEFA cup group stage. The game ended in a 3-1 victory with Berbatov scoring twice and assisting the 2nd for Keane.

Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly played the game from start to end as right midfielder while Aaron Lennon played the role of the left midfielder. The other Egyptian at Tottenham Mido started alongside Defoe on the subs bench and came on to replace the excelling Berbatov with only 10 minutes left.

The first goal in the game came early on, particularly in the 13th minute as Ibrahim Salou controlled the ball outside the box, turned to face the goal and shot it into the far corner to beat Robinson and to give the guests the lead.

It took Tottenham only four minutes to reply as the homeside won a freekick outside the box which was drifted in by Jenas to find Chimbonda who headed it down to Berbatov and the latter scored in style as he sent the ball home on the volley with his right foot to make the score 1-1.

In the 28th minute, Egyptian star Hossam Ghaly missed a setter in front of goal which could make the score 2-1 for Spurs. The chance came after a good run from Lennon in the left wing, he sent the cross low to find Berbatov who laid it under pressure to Ghaly but the Egyptian put the ball over with his left.


In the 36th minute, Ghaly sent a low cross to Berbatov in the box and the latter tried to bury the ball home but his shot was blocked off the line.

Just a minute later, Jenas hit the woodwork with a shot after receiving a pass from Berbatov and the first half ended in a 1-1 draw.

Spurs improved alot in the second half as they made better use of the wings and they managed to score an important goal through Keane in the 62nd minute. The goal came after a fine assist from Berbatov who placed the ball in front of Keane who took it in his stride and sent it home with his right into the back of the net to make the score 2-1.

Ten minutes later, Egyptian midfielder Ghaly shone when he crossed the ball superbly to Berbatov who headed it home to make the score 3-1 and to confirm the win for Tottenham.

In the 80th minute, the star of the game Berbatov came off and was replaced by Mido, but the Egyptian striker had little time to make an impact.
