Despite the fact that Ghaly featured in almost every preseason match, the Egyptian is yet to make it to the starting eleven in official games. He was even not on bench in the couple of matches that Tottenham played this week.

In this midweek fixture, Spurs faced the recently promoted side, Sheffield United and managed to win the game by two goals to ni.

Both goals came early on as the Spurs had a powerful start in the game but their performance faded out with time.

The first goal came after a through pass from Keane to Lennon in the right wing, the latter crossed low to the totally unmarked Berbatov who was left with a simple finish.

In the 18th minute, the Spurs added their 2nd goal through Jenas. Again, Keane started the attack with a long ball into the edge of the box, Berbatov laid it superbly in a Mido style flick on and Jenas advanced on the keeper and scored the 2nd.

Spurs were generally the better side throughout the game especially in the first half and also in the final quarter of the game.

Aside from this, the Egyptian Ghaly is yet to make his season debut as he couldn't make it to the match squad for the first time. This is mainly due to the abundance of midfielders in the Spurs team like Zokora, Davids, Jenas, Tainio in addition to Ghaly.

However, the Spurs will have busy schedule this season as they have matches in UEFA Cup, FA Cup and League Cup and these matches will help Ghaly get his chance. Then, all will depend on how good he will be in the games he participate in.

More on Ghaly and Spurs soon...
