Impressive Display from Ghaly versus Inter

Hossam Ghaly came on in the 2nd half of Spurs home friendly versus Inter Milan. The Egyptian showed a very good performance in the minutes he played, he intercepted some passes, made some fine clean tackles and created a real chance to Zeigler in the final minutes of the game.

Hossam Ghaly's Tottenham Hotspur faced Inter Milan in an important preseason friendly. The game ended in a 2-1 victory for the Spurs who scored both goals through the midfielder Teemu Tainio.

Ghaly started on bench and came on in the 2nd half. He was impressive in terms of his first touch, accurate passing and clean tacking. The Egyptian showed an overall very good performance that was appreciated by the Spurs fans who attended the game.

The first goal in the game came in the 36th minute from a powerful low shot by Tanino, the ball was deflected off the defender Marino and went in.

Inter managed to pull level just before half time. The goal came through a powerful shot that was parried by the keeper, the ball fell to the Nigerian striker Martins who buried it home into the bottom corner with his left.

Ghaly came on in the 2nd half, particularly in the 62nd minute. The Egyptian came on to replace Huddlestone.

Ghaly didn't need much time to catch the eyes of the supporters who attended the game as he was tireless worker in the midfield from the moment he stepped on the pitch. His first touch and close control was good, his anticipation and tackling were very good and clean. Ghaly also contributed in attack and linked well with the other Spurs players.


In the 79th minute, Tainio scored the 2nd goal after an impressive solo run, he then placed the ball away from Toldo's reach into the far corner to make the score 2-1 for Tottenham.

In the last minute of the game, Ghaly played a one two just outside the box and had the chance to send a dip at goal. However, he preferred to l;ay the ball to the substitute Ziegler who hit the side netting with his left.
