"I am grateful to Feyenoord. I have
gotten the chance to learn European football here and
as a result I can now take this step," said Ghaly
to Feyenoord's official website following his move to
Tottenham Hotspur.
"I didn't have one specific club on my mind, but
it seemed great for me to play in the Premier League.
That I can now play for such a great team gives a great
feeling," he added.
Showing a mature attitude he praised his former coaches,
all of which criticised him at one stage or another.
"I have learnt a lot here, first from van Marwijk,
then Gullit and the last months from Koeman. Sometimes
I thought that trainers were picking on me too much;
I wasn't used to that from my culture. By now I respect
it and understand that they do that to make me better."
Summing his time in Rotterdam up, he commented, "My
time here was to learn, but I would have loved to win
something.
"I am looking back at this period with a good feeling..."
