Tottenham Hotspur officially announced the deal bringing Hossam Ghaly to London, and described him as a gifted player.

Ghaly transferred to Spurs earlier today, and exclusively announced so on EgyptianPlayers.com.

Tottenham's official statement included comments from the club's Sporting Director Damien Comolli, who said, "I have watched Hossam since he was 17 years old.

"He is a versatile, very physical and technically gifted midfielder who will offer us a number of playing options."

Comolli added, "He is a terrific addition to the squad."
