Respectable Dutch Sports magazine Voetbal
International (VI) reported that the Spurs and Feyenoord
agreed to transfer Egyptian midfielder Ghaly from Rotterdam
to London.
According to VI, Egyptian star midfielder Hossam Ghaly
is on the verge of a move to Tottenham after both clubs
agreed on the transfer terms.
Despite this, there are two problems that could affect
the player's transfer to the Spurs. The first is Ghaly's
groin injury which will prevent him from undergoing
the required medical tests at Tottenham. In addition
to this, there might be problems asociated with the
work permit as the Egyptian should have played at least
75% of matches on the international level in the last
two years.
It should be noted that Ghaly had a bust up with Feyenoord's
coach Erwin Koeman who criticized the Egyptian in public in
more than one occasion and so, the move of Ghaly outside Holland
is not a surprise.
