Feyenoord's head coach Erwin Koeman openly criticised
Hossam Ghaly in the post-game press conference, once
more hinting that it may be the end of the midfielder's
career at the Rotterdam club.
Feyenoord's championship hopes took a
small blow as they failed to register points against
strugglers ADO Den Haag, allowing PSV and AZ to race
three points ahead in the league standings.
Ghaly was substituted for a 17-year-old after less than
an hour in the last game, and the Dutch press subsequently
wrote that he was one of the poorer performers on the
pitch.
"It is time he (Ghaly) begins to understand what
it is all about," said Koeman in the press conference.
He added, "I doubt whether Ghaly will ever really
understand."
Just three days ago Hossam stressed to EgyptianPlayers.com
that he is happy with his current situation! "I had a
nice talk with the gaffer (Koeman) and I should stress that
he was very understanding." He also added, "Now
I cant be happier with how things are going for me at
the club." A month ago he had said to EP, "They
talk about the intercepted ball I made but ignore all my positives."
Is it destiny that Feyenoord and Ghaly must separate? Sooner
or later we will find out...
