Club Call reported that the Egyptian star
Hossam Ghaly is linked with a January move to the English
Premiership giants Arsenal FC.
The website reported that the Gunners have been watching
the progress of Ghaly for over a year and will probably
make a bid in January to land the talented midfielder.
This will be a possibility if Arsene Wenger feels he
can succeed in what Feyenoord's coach Erwin Koeman failed
to do which is harnessing the players undoubted
talent.
Arsenal have been in constant search for
a defensive midfielder since Patrick Vieira's department
to Juventus. The most recent player linked with the
outfit was Papa Diop of Fulham, but the talks were recently
hyped down by the Senegal man.
Ghaly himself, is aware of the interest from Arsenal
and has even expressed his desire to join his former
team-mate at Feyenoord, Robin Van Persie, who transferred
to the London-based club:

"I know that I can make it in Europe, that is a dream
which I want to live. I have one big wish and that is to play
for my dream team Arsenal some day," commented Ghaly.
"That club shows the most beautiful football in the world;
technical, fast, one touch. I find it magnificent watching
them play," he added.
"Robin van Persie is lucky playing for such a huge team.
That isnt jealousy, Robin deserves the best. We get
along together well, and above all he is one of the best players
I have ever played with," concluded Ghaly, who is under
contract at Feyenoord till 2007.
