Feyenoord vs Heerenveen (5-1)

Hossam Ghaly's Feyenoord faced FC Heerenveen on Sunday afternoon. The Rotterdammers kept their perfect record in the Eredivisie by demolishing their guests by five goals to one. The first half ended in a 0-1 lead for Heerenveen but Feyenoord managed to score five in the 2nd half as they took the advantage of the sending off of Huntelaar from Heerenveen.



Ghaly, Paauwe and Pardo started in midfield

Feyenoord managed to maintain their perfect record in the Dutch Eredivisie as they crushed their guests FC Heerenveen by five goals to one.

Hossam Ghaly was once again in the main selection for the game. The Egyptian played together with Patrick Paauwe and Pardo in midfield. Erwin Koeman started with 4-3-3 formation with Romeo Castelen, Dirk Kuyt and Salomon Kalou at front.

Highlights:

12th min. Klaas Huntelaar (Heerenveen) advanced with the ball in midfield, Hossam Ghaly tackled him and brought him to the floor, the referee whislted for a freekick for Heerenveen, from which Yildirim scored the opening goal for the guests.


Ghaly's foul resulted in Heerenveen's goal

27th min. Fast counter attacking move for Feyenoord, Kuyt advanced with the ball till the edge of the area and passed it low to Castelen in front of goal, the latter shot came off the foot of a defender and went wide.

30th min. Kuyt advanced with the ball, he sent a through pass to Kalou in the box and the latter tried to bury the ball home with one touch but the keeper parried it away, the ball then fell to Kuyt on the edge of the box but his direct shot missed the target.

32nd min. Corner kick for Heerenveen, Paul Bosvelt met the ball with a powerful header but Feyenoord's keeper Patrick Lodewijks made a great save and turned the ball away for a corner.

56th min. Great goal by Dirk Kuyt! He struck the ball brilliantly from 20 yards into the far corner to make the result 1-1.

60th min. Heerenveen's Klaas Huntelaar was involved in a duel with Feyenoord's Pascal Bosschaart, Huntelaar fell onto the ground and replied with a nasty kick to Bosschaart. The match referee showed the Heerenveen player a straight red.


Nasty kick sent Huntelaar off and turned the tables

66th min. Feyenoord started to take advatage of the extra man and added their second goal in the game through the defender Bahia. The ball fell to him inside the six yards box after a cross from the right wing and he made no mistake and buried it home with one touch.

70th min. Heerenveen didn't gave up and had a shot on goal that was denied by the crossbar.

72nd min. Serginho Greene sent a chip pass to the onside Kuyt who controlled the ball superbly on his chest and rifled a shot into the back of the net to make it 3-1 for the home side.


Kuyt scored two goals

76th min. The ball was laid to Feyenoord's midfielder Paauwe who fired a shot with his left which went straight into the bottom corner leaving Heerenveen's keeper with no chance at all. 4-1 for Feyenoord.


83rd min. Hossam Ghaly came off and was replaced by De Guzman after playing a fine defensive game.

90+1 min. Feyenoord scored their 5th goal from a freekick after a foul inside the box. Kalou struck the penalty kick and made the result 5-1.

This big victory put Feyenoord in the 2nd spot in the table as AZ (who crushed Ajax by four goals to two) are still first thanks to their superior goal difference. However, Feyenoord have better goal difference than RKC who come 3rd with 15 points from five matches as well.
