| Hossam Ghaly's
Feyenoord achieved a comfortable home victory over NEC
by three goals to nil. The Rotterdammers will also face
Rapid Bucharest tonight in Europe's second competition.
Ghaly and his teammate Dirk Kuyt
The game on Sunday was the last test for Feyenoord
before their UEFA Cup clash with the Romanian side Rapid
Bucharest on Thursday. Hossam Ghaly and his teammates
succeeded in remaining on top of the league table as
they achieved their 4th win out of four matches.
The victory came over NEC by three goals to nil. Hossam
Ghaly did very well in the game and was about to give
the Rotterdammers the lead in the 9th minute when he
tested the ex-Feyenoord goalkeeper Gabor Babos with
a powerful shot but the Hungarian keeper managed to
save Ghaly's shot in style.
The first goal came through the striker Kalou in the
42nd minute while the 2nd and 3rd came both in the 2nd
half. The second goal was scored by Pardo in the 72nd
minute while the third came very late through Romeo
Castelen in the 90th minute of the game.

The Egyptian Ghaly continued to perform well in the 2nd
half and had another effort on goal that was denied once again
by his ex-teammate goalkeeper Babos. Ghaly also had a close
chance in the early minutes of the 2nd half but neither him
nor Kuyt was able to get to the ball on time.
It should be noted that Ghaly and his teammates will face
Rapid Bucharest tonight in UEFA cup. The team is on top form
in the Eredivisie with Erwin Koeman at helm, and a good start
in UEFA cup is all what they need.
Come to EP tonight for updates on the score and a full report.
