Aside from this news, Hossam Ghaly participated in Feyenoord's
first preparation match against Alphense Boys. The game ended
in a 0-1 victory for Feyenoord as Ghaly's teammate midfielder
Hofs scored the only goal in the 76th minute of the game.
Feyenoord did play ok, but they just lacked scoring. Chances
were many for Koeman's squad especially during the first half,
but the attackers missed them one by one. Especially Nicky
Hofs, Romeo Castelen, Danko Lazovic and Salomon Kalou, players
who all came into scoring position more than one, were symbol
for the missing of sharpness and would have thought twice
about those opportunities if they think back.
Koeman commented on his team's performance during the match
by saying:
"Things went good and things went bad. If I have to
tell something which went bad, it was the finishing. That
was average to bad".

Bosschaart; Hofs, Ghaly, Pardo; Castelen, Lazovic and
