Veteran centre back Abdel Zaher El Saka played a full
derby match against Ankaragucu in which his side Genclerbirligi
won by two goals to nil. However, he collided with the
opposition keeper near the end of the game and suffered
a chest injury. After the match, the veteran defender
was sent to a nearby hospital as he had problem with
breathing normally.
El Saka had to be sent to hospital from
the stadium after he took a hit to his chest after an
aerial challenge with the keeper.
The Egyptian played a full match against
Sherif Ekramy's Ankaragucu and helped his side emerge
winners 2-0 as Engin Baytar and Carlos Kahe scored for
the Egyptian's side.
Genclerbirligi club doctor said: "Our captain El
Saka took a hit in his chest after a challenge with
the opposition keeper and he had some problems with
breathing. He fainted for a few minutes and we needed
to make sure that there is nothing serious".
Fortunately, after medical examination, We didn't find
any serious problem with the player's health and sent
him home. There is nothing serious about his health
now."
It should be noted that El Saka cleared a dangerous
attempt off the line with his head just a minute before
the final whistle.
EP wish El Saka a speedy recovery...
