Under pressure Fenerbahce managed to win
three points from their home clash with Saka's Gencler.
The team captain El Saka left the field on the 35th
minute after receiving a 2nd yellow card which made
the job easier for Fener.
Fenerbahce lost against Amir Azmy's Hacettepe
last week and needed a win to continue their challenge
for title. They managed to take the lead in the 41st
minute through Brasilian attacking midfielder Alex.
In the 54th minute, El Saka received
a 2nd yellow card after a foul. In the 17th minute,
the Egyptian had already naother yellow due to a deliberate
handball and so, the referee sent El Saka off.
With ten men on the field, the job became more difficult
for Gencler. They conceded another goal in the 64th
minute through Spanish international Guiza.
The ganm was about to end in a 2-0 win
but Fener managed to score another goal in the 90th
minute via Kazim-Richards to make the score 3-0 in the
end.
With this win, Fener improved their standing
slightly as they moved up to the 6th spot while Saka's
Genler dropped to the 12th spot.
