Gencler players celebrate the precious win

Genclerbirilgi 2-1 Istanbul BB:

Genclerbiriligi's captain Abdelzaher El-Saka played a full match this weekend as Gencler claimed an important home victory over Istanbul BB in their fight against relegation.

Gencler scored twice in the first half particularly in the 24th and 45th minutes. Goals came through Kahe and Promise respectively. On the other side, Istanbul managed to score their only goal in the 62nd minute.

Currently, Genclerbiriligi stand in the 14th spot with 35 points and ahead of Konyaspor who are 15th with the same number of points. Both teams are 6 points away from the relegation zone team Manisaspor.

Aside from the match news, there have been a lot of positive comments on El Saka's recent action, as he has very generously invited all BESG children and their families to attend the football match on Sat. 12 April between Genclerbirligi and Gaziantepspor. The Egyptian defender paid the cost of tickets and allowed the children and their families to watch the game free of charge.

Trabzonspor 1-1 Gaziantepspor

Trabzonspor drew with Gaziantepspor this weekend. None of the Egyptians participated in this game as Ayman came out injured in last week's match while Moawad wasn't selected.

It should be noted that Trabzon are currently 6th in the table and will unlikely achieve European qualification next season.

It is also worth mentioning that Ibrahim Said future with Ankaragucu is still unknown, as he left the club because of not receiving his wage, and it was reported that Vestel Manisa from Turkey and Al Nasr from Saudi Arabia showed interest in him.
