Though rumours had spread that Abdelzaher El Saka was
on his way to former club Genclerbirligi, new Alkaralar
coach Reinhard Stumpf has denied the transfer.
In the last press conference, Stumpf was
asked about El Saka's transfer but replied. "I
really do know about El Saka - which position he plays,
for who he plays for and these types of things, but
I am not interested in him and I have some other players
on my mind for the transfer period."
The German manager, who has taken charge of the last
four games, added that he wants to see less non-Turkish
players in the league. "The biggest problem for
Turkish players is the number of the foreign players,"
he said, adding that this does not help the country's
football.
