In a shocking twist to the season, Konyaspor captain Abdelzaher El Saka has left the club by mutual consent.

After the club hired a new manager in Unal Karaman, El Saka was sent out of the squad by the coach in one of the first sessions.

This led to El Saka's surprise absence from the last game against Genclerbirligi OFTAS.

EgyptianPlayers.com has learnt that the pair could not understand each other and may have had disagreements.

The club have made a press statement saying: "We have terminated the contract of El Saka after negotiating with the Egyptian player, and decided to part ways."

It is a dark and unpredicted end to the defender's time at Konyaspor.
