lost heavily to Galatasaray. The homeside controlled
the game from start to end and scored three goals per
half.
Egyptian centre back El Saka played the
full match after recovering from the facial injury that
he suffered a couple of weeks ago when he collided with
a teammate.
El Saka gave away a penalty kick in the
4th minute after a handball in the area and Shabani
Nonda scored from the spot to give Galatasaray the lead.
Six minutes later, El Saka received a
yellow card after a foul. In addiion to this, Saka's
teammate Sabin was shown two successive yellow cards
in the 27th and 28th minutes respectively and Konya
had to resume the game with only ten men on the field.
After the sending off of Sabin, goals
came flying from all angles for Gala as they scored
two more goals in the first half via Nonda and Carrusca
while Hakan Sükür, Umit Karan and Sas added
three more goals in the last ten minutes of the game

either in the starting elven or the subs bench.
With this defeat, Konya went down to the
17th spot of the table while Gala remained on top.
