Egyptian defender Abdelzaher El Saka, currently at
Konyaspor, has decided to return to Egypt, ending his
long stay in European football. The Konya skipper is
set to join Zamalek.
The player confirmed in a telephone call
with Sport Today that in the next few hours, he will
be in Cairo to sign a contract with Egyptian club Zamalek.
The transfer will be completed during the January transfer
window.
El Saka, 34, started his football at Al-Mansoura before
moving to Turkey where he has played for a number of
clubs.
He will be the third player to join Zamalek from abroad
after, as EP reported, Ahmed Ghanem, formerly of Antrabeko
(Uzbekistan) and Shikabala of PAOK joined the Cairo
club, despite the rejection of the Greeks in Shika's
case. However, Zamalek have confirmed that Shikabala
will arrive fairly.
