EP: What is your latest news with Konya; are you
thinking of a move in the next transfer window?
El Saka: "Actually I am quite happy with
how things are going at the club and I can tell EP exclusively
that I signed a 2 year extension to my contract just
days ago, but I made sure to put in a clause that would
facilitate a move to another league if I got an appealing
offer. I really hope to play in the English Premier
League after the next African Cup of Nations."
"I'll
retire internationally at the end of the ACN..."
EP: Was the Administration at Konya cooperative
in letting you go with Egypt for what could be well
over a whole month?
El Saka: "They asked the EFA to leave me
(in Turkey) for a bit longer, but that request was denied.
I can't blame Konya for not being happy with letting
me and Belal go away for so long, but I just love playing
for Egypt.
"But I want also to announce through EP that this
tournament would see my last appearances for the national
team. I will retire from international football right
after the last game featuring Egypt in the tournament.
I really wish from all my heart to finish my 100 caps
and over career with the title 'Champion of Africa'."
