Interest in Abdelzaher El Saka
has continued despite the new contract that he signed
with Konyaspor. Ankaraspor are said to have inquired
into the Egyptian defender's availability, but to no
avail.

A few weeks ago Besiktas and Vestel Manisaspor
made offers for El Saka, but neither El Saka nor Konyaspor
accepted the offers. After the transfer offers the Konyaspor
board offered a new two-year contract to El Saka which
the Egyptian accepted, due to his happiness at Konya.
A few days ago Ankaraspor's honorary chairman Melih
Gokcek wanted El Saka from the Konyaspor chairman Ahmet
San, at Murat Hacioglu's wedding! Hacioglu is currently
on fire at Konya, and is the striking partner of Ahmed
Belal in Turkey.

The Konyaspor chairman Ahmet San replied, "We've
just tied up with El Saka and we don't want to sell
him now."
