Egyptian veteran center back Abdel Zaher El Saka signed today a 2 year contract with Konyaspor.

As El Saka stated EP before, There were four teams behind the experienced defender. Konyaspor were the most interested and they signed El Saka for next two years. It is not surprise if his partner in Gencler defence, Umit Bozkurt signs for Konya as well.

Abdelzaher El Saka signed the contract in a press conference. He signed his official contract and wore his new Green-White shirt. Konya supporters carried him on their shoulders and welcomed him happily.

Konyaspor chairman Ahmet San said:, "We had a strong team. We started the negotiations with El Saka. I think the signing will be beneficial for both sides and we will look for other quality players to strengthen our squad".

The 31 years old defender El Saka commented on the move by saying, "I m very happy, firstly for signing and for the hospitality. I chose Konya for some reasons. First one is their enthusiastic supporters. Board's interest on me is the second reason. The third reason is also very important because my close friends are playing here. Some clubs offered me better salaries. But I preferred here.

El Saka ended his speech by saying, "I preferred affection, respect and the healthy squad. Konya will have the best defense next season.."
