Ziya Dogan has signed for Genclerbirligi, for one and a half years. He will therefore be in charge of Abdelzaher El Saka, although the Egyptian may well depart from the club at the end of the season.

Dogan, who left Trabzonspor after the exit from the UEFA Cup, said that he'll try to make a championship team for the future years.

The Chairman of Gencler added that he is very happy with this, and said that it was very hard to sign Dogan after the sacking of Arica and Cetin.

Dogan also said "I'll give my 95% energy for the success of Gencler, and we'll only make effective transfers that can be useful for future years."

Ziya Dogan has had extreme interest in Egyptians in the past, namely El Saka and Ayman Abdelaziz. With this in mind, it is now more uncertain whether El Saka will leave Alkaralar, or find a fresh start at his current club.
