A terrible defensive error from Abdel Zaher El Saka led to a 1-0 defeat for Genclerbirligi in theri away game against Gaziantepspor.

Gencler didn't perform up to their potential yet again...

This was the third loss in a row for Genclerbirligi, whose defence has let them down repeatedly.

The game's atmosphere was not brilliant, and Youla was the first person to get a serious shot away. He was uncomfortably surrounded by defenders but hit the ball from long range, and it sailed over.

Quickly, Gaziantepspor reacted. A ball was played in from the right and Lazarov shot from inside the area, but Omer saved for a corner.

Shortly afterwards, Gencler played a cross in from the right but Mustafa's header went wide.

With 9 minutes of the half left, Gaziantepspor managed to go into the lead. A chip was put into the danger zone from the left, and Bulent evaded the Gencler keeper well and hit the ball in the direction of the net. The Egyptian Abdelzaher El Saka managed to block the ball near the goal-line, but he could have cleared it. Instead, his block went straight into the centre of the six-yard box where it was tapped in by Erhan Naml! 1-0 to Gaziantepspor.

With the half coming to an end, Gencler tried many shots on goal but none were successful.

Alkaralar started the second half in a similar manner to which they ended the first, but no conversions were able to change the score-line.

Instead, it was Gaziantep that came close to doubling their lead, with a cross played into the area and volleyed well by Naml, but it was saved by Omer for a corner.

In the last minutes, Gencler's Bolic had an attempt from the edge of the box which went just wide of the target.

The game ended on a bad note. With the ball in the air, with his heel, Saka flicked a volley further into the air. The ball was continued forward in front of Youla, who chased it. But the opposing keeper came out in time to intercept, and the annoyed Gencler striker kicked the goalie unnecessarily. A fight started between the players, but after involvements from the experienced players, it was ended.

So Gencler lost again, and need to regain their form if they are to end in the top half of the table...
