Egyptian keeper Sherif Ekramy played a full match for
Feyenoord in their friendly tournament against Celtic.
The first half witnessed total domination from the Scottish
side who scored three times in Ekramy's net. In the
2nd half, Feyenoord created many chances but the Celtic
shotstopper denied the Rotterdammers from scoring more
than one goal.
Egyptian goalie Sherif Ekramy played a
full match versus Celtic but he couldn't impress as
he conceded three goals in the first half. The first
goal came through a slow reaction from the Egyptian
goalkeeper.
According to Skysports studio, Ekramy
was one of the reasons Feyenoord lost. However, and
to be fair, Ekramy was responsible for the first goal
in particular as he couldn't stop the ball due to a
slow reaction.
The 2nd goal came through a header and
again, Ekramy should have done better. On the other
side, the 3rd goal came in a similar fashion to the
first but the shot was too fast to be stopped.
The Feyenoord defense looked shaky as
well, and didn't provide enough cover for Ekramy which
added to Feyenoord problems in the game.
In the 2nd half, Feyenoord improved alot but they managed
to score a single goal only. This was due to the excellent
form of Celtic's goalkeeper.
It should be noted that Feyenoord ended this
friendly tournament without any points as they lost the their
two matches. On the other hand, Hossam Ghaly's Tottenham won
the tournament after two wins.
EP wish Ekramy the best in this season..
