The Konyaspor board will appeal to the Egypt Football Association in order to have the services of Egyptian players Abdelzaher El Saka and Ahmed Belal during the African Cup of Nations.

Konyaspor's technical staff want the pair for important matches and so after failing to remove them from the Egyptian national team squad will try a compromise similar to Mido's.

Konyaspor will play against giants Galatasaray on the 22nd of January in week 18 of the Turkcell Super League, just two days after the opener against Libya but before the second encounter. If the Egyptian FA lets Abdelzaher El Saka and Ahmed Belal return to Turkey briefly, they will come for the Galatasaray match, after which they will return directly to Egypt.
