Striker Ahmed Belal is back in the national team after
his performances with Konyaspor.
Read also:

Belal looked to be off form while at Al-Ahly,
after the nasty injury he suffered and hadn't looked
to fully recover from.
It was a shame, as he had performed magnificently in
the African Cup of Nations 2004; one of the few Egyptians
we were albe to say that about. But it looked less and
less likely for him to play any sort of role in the
next Cup of Nations.
That is different now. After moving to Turkish club
Konyaspor, Belal said he was determined to start scoring
goals again. He did just that, and has settled very
well into the Turkish League; so much the case that
the Egyptian natioal team has asked for him to join
their preparation camp in
December.

Shawki Ghareeb, Egypt's assistant manager, went to Turkey
to take a look at the professionals there before helping Shehata
pick players. Now, Ahmed Belal joins Ahmed Hassan, Abdelzaher
El Saka and Beshir El Tabei at the national taem camp.
Others abroad, namely Mido, Ghaly and Abd Rabo won't be able
to join the preparations at that early stage.
The squad is yet to be named, but Belal will be happy that
he is right back in consideration.
But where is Ayman in all this? Where is Shikabala? Some
opinions on the issue of the national team squad will be vented
soon on EP...
