Ahmed Belal added to his tally in Turkey, scoring what ended up being the winning goal in a great win against Gaziantepspor.

Abdelzaher El Saka and Ahmed Belal both played, although the latter only entered the pitch in the 55th minute. It paid, and he scored in the 76th minute to put Konya 3-0 up. They did however concede twice, but luckily there was not enough time for Gaziantep to get back into the game any further.

Two first half goals and no threats on Konya's goal put what looked to be a comfortable task ahead of them in the second half. And when Belal came on to score it looked as though the game was finished. Whilst the Gaziantep defence was slow in clearing the ball, Murat Hacioglu chased a defender down leading to a poor touch into the centre from the opponent on the ball. Belal was quick enough to run onto the ball on the edge of the box, and take it around the defender before slotting from the right into the far side of the net.

Belal should have added another when the ball came to him in a completely free position on the left side of the attack. But instead of taking the ball forward into the empty space, the Egyptian shot quickly from distance and the ball sliced onto the side netting.

With just two minutes left, Konya were given quite a scare, as Lazarov and Gokhan managed to get close to goal and score two goals in the 88th and 89th minutes respectively.

Despite the lack of concentration at the end, Konya held on to secure three completely deserved points.

With the result, they overtook Gaziantep, and lie in 8th place in the Turkish Super League...
