Some reports claimed that Zamalek
forward Mahmoud Abdel Razek "Shikabala" is currently
a target for a number of European clubs. The report claimed
that Ajax Amsterdam have the player on thier shortlist
while Hertha BSC and Anderlecht are showing interest as
well.
Shikabala is back to the picture. Report on 4-4-2 revealed
the interest of three European clubs in the 22 year
old Zamalek forward.
The most interested club is Ajax Amsterdam,
the former club of Mido. Ajax are said to be scouting
the player and the report claims that they are ready
to spend 2.5m EUROs to land the Egyptian top talent.
In addition to this, Hertha BSC and Anderlecht
are also said to be interested in the player.
It should be noted that Shikabala was
impressive in the season that he spent in Greece playing
for PAOK. However, problem related to the player's military
service forced him to return to Egypt.
It is also worth noting that during Shikabala's
short spell in Greece, he caught the interest of Ajax
and
AZ and the latter offered to trial the player. However,
the interest from both Dutch clubs didn't materialize
to offers at that time.

In addition to this, the player caught the eyes
of Wigan coach Steve Bruce when he came to Egypt to watch
Amr Zaki in action.
Shikabala is undoubtedly a top talent and leaving
to Europe at such age will help him develop to better player.
However, it is not known yet of Zamalek will let their promising
talent leave or not. Also, military service could be a hurdle
that might stop the transfer from completion.
